Grading

•Report card grades are earned in art for each trimester for grades one through five.
• First and second grade students are assessed on cooperation and participation skills.
• Third, fourth and fifth grades are assessed on participation, cooperation and art skills.
• Observable objectives are discussed before each lesson or parts of lessons. Through demonstration and practice, students are introduced to skills they will practice. Students are evaluated on the objectives, creative ideas or problem solving, craftsmanship, effort and time management.
